Medical Science Liaison (MSL), Cell Therapy Autoimmune (CTAI)
Territory: NM, N. TX, OK
Role Overview:
Field-based extension of US Medical Affairs. Develop/enhance professional relationships with medical thought leaders and provide fair-balanced scientific exchange and clinical/scientific support for BMS CTAI products in coordination with Medical Affairs. Travel >50%.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, establish, and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs)
- Act as primary liaison to investigators for investigator-initiated research
- Develop/execute geography-specific Field Medical and KOL Interaction plans
- Partner with other BMS MSL teams to meet CTAI objectives with rheumatologists and hematologists
- Support patient education as subject matter expert on BMS pipeline and investigational therapies
- Provide clinical presentations and respond to unsolicited questions (as appropriate)
- Collaborate with Clinical R&D to enhance patient enrollment in BMS-sponsored trials (identify sites, interact with investigators)
- Provide scientific support at national/regional/local medical meetings
- Capture and provide timely insights to internal stakeholders on cell therapy/autoimmune landscape
Qualifications / Skills Required:
- Terminal degree in medical science (PA-C, DNP, PharmD, MD, or PhD) required
- 3–5 years clinical/research in cell therapy or autoimmune disease OR 3–5 years as MSL in these areas
- Cell therapy or rheumatology experience strongly preferred
- Independent and cross-functional team work experience
- Working knowledge of US legal/regulatory/compliance for industry interactions with HCPs
- Ability to build/maintain medical community relationships
- Excellent communication, presentation, and time management
- Ability to translate scientific/clinical data for physicians
