Responsibilities:
- Leverage scientific expertise and market knowledge to build relationships and engage with HCPs and thought leaders (non-promotional, field-based).
- Lead customer engagements: emerging data discussions, clinical trial activities, patient journey barriers, market dynamics, unmet medical need, pipeline discussions, disease/product education, adverse event capture, and medical insights across the product lifecycle.
- Develop and execute territory strategy: identify/map key accounts and stakeholders; target partnerships with academic centers/centers of excellence/systems of care; identify opportunities to involve HCPs/MEs (e.g., publications, trials); support internal collaborations to achieve therapeutic/clinical/product goals.
- Provide clinical trial support and collaborate cross-functionally (Medical Affairs, Clinical Operations, HEOR/access/marketing/commercial/sales).
- Maintain in-depth therapeutic area and product knowledge; maintain knowledge of relevant policies/WPDs/regulations; complete required admin/training (e.g., Veeva CRM, compliance modules) and keep CRM current.
- Drive personal/professional development.
Qualifications:
- Education: graduate degree in science/healthcare required; doctoral preferred (MD, PhD, DNP, PharmD, etc.).
- Strong clinical knowledge (pharmacotherapy, guidelines, clinical research processes, medical expert engagement) and FDA promotional guidelines/ethics.
- Must follow applicable law, Novartis policies, Ethics/Compliance/Promotional policies; support a diverse/inclusive environment.
- Reside within territory or within ~50 miles of border; valid driverβs license; ~60β70% travel.
- Experience: Managerβ0β3 years Field Medical/MSL required (3β5 yrs preferred); Associate Directorβ3+ yrs preferred (5β7 yrs required).
