Medical Science Liaison - Cardiovascular - ME/VT/NH/Western MA Territory

Responsibilities:
- Advance clinical practice in assigned territory by engaging scientifically with HCPs and medical experts (emerging data, clinical trials, patient journey barriers, market dynamics, unmet medical need, pipeline discussions, disease state/product education, adverse event capture, and medical insights across the product lifecycle).
- Build/maintain professional relationships with HCPs and thought leaders; identify key stakeholders and opportunities for education, engagement, partnership, and internal collaboration.
- Provide clinical trial support for company-sponsored trials; work cross-functionally with Medical Affairs and Clinical Operations.
- Plan and execute medical engagements and key account strategy aligned to the medical strategic/tactical plan; support customer centricity and One Novartis approach.
- Maintain deep therapeutic-area and compound knowledge; understand internal policies and external regulations impacting day-to-day responsibilities.
- Complete required administrative tasks/training (e.g., Veeva CRM, expenses, compliance modules) and keep customer profiles current.
- Support ongoing personal/professional development as priorities evolve.
Essential Qualifications/Requirements:
- Graduate degree in science/healthcare required; doctoral degree preferred (MD/PhD/DNP/PharmD).
- Strong clinical knowledge (pharmacotherapy, guidelines, clinical research processes, medical expert engagement) and FDA promotional guidelines/ethical requirements.
- Comply with applicable law and Novartis Ethics/Compliance/Promotional policies; work to ensure a diverse, inclusive environment.
- Reside within territory or within 50 miles; field-based, customer-facing role with ~60β70% travel; valid driverβs license.
- Driving is essential (fully valid, unrestricted license).
Experience (by level):
- Manager: 0β3 years field medical/MSL OR 3β5 years relevant medical affairs/clinical research preferred.
- Associate Director: 3+ years field medical/MSL preferred OR 5β7 years relevant medical affairs/clinical research required.
Desirable:
- Prior experience in assigned/related therapeutic area.
