Medical Science Liaison (MSL), Cardiovascular
Responsibilities:
- Identify disease and product-related medical needs in a defined geography; develop and maintain relationships with Thought Leaders (TLs) and Healthcare Providers (HCPs).
- Provide meaningful scientific exchange to support access to BMS medicines, safe and appropriate use, and facilitate research; serve as a medical resource to external stakeholders.
- Answer scientific, unsolicited product, and HEOR questions; use available scientific resources and make medically accurate, compliant presentations.
- Assess the medical landscape; stay current on treatment strategies, products, unmet needs, clinical trials, and HEOR; understand competitive landscape.
- Partner with HCPs on disease state initiatives, collaborative research, and investigator-sponsored research (ISR) aligned to BMS objectives.
- Attend medical congresses/meetings; collect and communicate medical insights to support strategy/business decisions.
- Develop Field Medical/TL Interaction plans; contribute to institution/account plans and medical programs/projects.
- Support training and provide scientific updates to internal stakeholders; support promotional meetings.
- Support clinical trial activities (site identification/feasibility, ISR support, safety/AE escalation, CRO-sponsored studies).
Qualifications & Skills:
- Required: MD, PharmD, PhD, APP, PA, NP with disease-area or broad medical background and relevant pharma experience.
- Desired: 2+ years clinical/pharma environment; prior MSL experience; independent/team player; ability to translate data; strong communication/presentation; peer-to-peer relationships; quick learning; demonstrate BMS values.
- Knowledge: disease area/publications; clinical trial design; national healthcare/access environment; HEOR core concepts; excellent spoken/written English.
Travel/Essential qualification:
- Travel required; live in territory or within 50 miles; majority time in field.
- Ability to drive a company-provided car; safe/ethical driving history.
