Key Responsibilities:
- Build professional, scientific relationships with HCPs and thought leaders in the assigned territory to advance clinical practice and patient outcomes.
- Conduct customer engagements (e.g., emerging data discussions, clinical trial activities, unmet need discovery, pipeline discussions, disease/product education, adverse event capture, and medical insights across the product lifecycle).
- Provide strategic territory vision: identify/map key accounts and medical engagement opportunities aligned to medical strategy, including stakeholder mapping, partnerships (academic centers/systems of care), HCP/medical expert involvement, and internal collaboration.
- Support company-sponsored clinical trials; collaborate cross-functionally with Medical Affairs and Clinical Operations.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., HEOR, access, marketing, commercial, sales) to maintain a customer-centric approach.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of the therapeutic area and Novartis compounds; internal policies/external regulations affecting day-to-day work.
- Complete administrative/training activities (e.g., Veeva CRM, profiling, compliance modules, email/expense reporting).
- Drive personal/professional development as priorities evolve.

Essential Requirements:
- Graduate degree in science/healthcare required; doctoral degree preferred (MD/PhD/DNP/PharmD).
- Strong clinical knowledge (pharmacotherapy, treatment guidelines, clinical research processes, medical expert engagement) and FDA promotional guidelines, regulations, and ethical guidelines.
- Experience: Manager level 0–3 years field medical/MSL required (3–5 years preferred); Associate Director level 5–7 years required (3+ years preferred).
- Must comply with applicable law and Novartis ethics/compliance/promotional policies.
- Reside in territory or within 50 miles; field-based customer-facing with ~60–70% travel; valid driver’s license.
- Driving is essential.

Desirable:
- Prior experience in the assigned/related therapeutic area.

Compensation/Benefits (as stated):
- Manager: $145,600–$270,400/year; Associate Director: $160,300–$297,700/year. Performance-based cash incentive; potential annual equity eligibility; comprehensive US benefits and time off.
