Key Responsibilities:
- Leverage scientific expertise to build professional relationships and engage HCPs and other thought leaders in the assigned territory.
- Lead non-promotional customer engagements (e.g., emerging data discussions, clinical trial activities, unmet medical need, pipeline discussions, disease state/product education, adverse event capture, and medical insights across product lifecycle).
- Develop and execute a strategic territory plan: identify key stakeholders, opportunities for partnerships with academic centers/centers of excellence/systems of care, identify when HCP/medical expert involvement is needed (e.g., publications/clinical trials), and coordinate internal collaborations.
- Provide clinical trial support for company-sponsored trials and work cross-functionally with Medical Affairs and Clinical Operations.
- Collaborate with internal teams (HEOR, access, marketing, commercial, sales) to advance clinical practice with customer centricity and compliance.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of therapeutic area, Novartis compounds, internal policies, and external regulations.
- Complete administrative/training tasks (e.g., Veeva CRM, expense reports, compliance modules) and keep customer profiling current.
- Drive personal/professional development.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Graduate degree in science/healthcare required; doctoral degree preferred (MD/PhD/DNP/PharmD).
- 0–3 years field medical/MSL experience required OR 3–5 years relevant medical affairs/clinical research preferred; prior therapeutic area experience preferred.
- Strong clinical knowledge (pharmacotherapy, guidelines, clinical research, medical expert engagement) and FDA promotional/ethical guidelines.
- Reside in territory or within 50 miles of its border; 60–70% travel; valid driver’s license.
- Perform duties per law/regulations and Novartis ethics/compliance; support diversity and inclusion.

Training:
