POSITION: Medical Science Director (MSD) β€” field-based (California). Candidates must reside in California. Travel ~60–70%.

Primary Responsibilities
- Identify and engage emerging/established KOLs (oncology incl. BMT, infectious disease, nephrology, critical care, antimicrobial stewardship) as a trusted scientific resource to HCPs, pharmacy leaders, infection prevention specialists, and healthcare systems.
- Conduct compliant, fair-balanced scientific exchange on clinical data, disease states, and pipeline programs.
- Build relationships with institutional stakeholders across acute care, oncology, and hospital systems.
- Support scientific discussions (congresses, advisory boards, symposia, professional society meetings).
- Facilitate peer-to-peer education on unmet needs and treatment challenges.
- Capture/communicate medical insights, competitive intelligence, trends, and unmet needs to internal stakeholders.
- Support cross-functional teams (Clinical Development, Commercial, HEOR, Market Access, Pharmacovigilance, Medical Information) and provide scientific input to materials/initiatives/field planning.
- Support evidence generation: identify trial sites/investigators, educate on protocols, support investigator-sponsored research.
- Respond to unsolicited medical information requests per compliance/regulatory guidance; document adverse events/product complaints; maintain disease/product/literature/regulatory expertise.
- Provide internal scientific education and collaborate in a matrix organization.

Qualifications (Required)
- Advanced healthcare or scientific degree: MD, DO, PharmD, PhD, DNP, NP, PA-C, or equivalent.

Qualifications (Preferred)
- Prior field medical/MSD/MSL experience (1+ years MSL or equivalent).
- 1–5+ years in academic institution/healthcare system/pharma/biotech.
- Oncology (including BMT), and experience in infectious disease, nephrology, critical care, acute care, or supportive oncology; hospital-based specialty product support; clinical and/or commercial-stage experience; experience with scientific exchange/evidence communication/medical education; fast-paced/emerging biotech experience.
