Medical Affairs
The Position
- Builds relationships and demonstrates clinical outcomes/benefits of NNI products.
- Educates and demonstrates benefits of key products to HCPs.
- Provides medical information and coordinates educational workshops, roundtables, and medical forums.
- Explores/identifies clinical trial sites across all development stages.
- Functions as a scientific liaison between NNI and key external customers to advance scientific exchange.
- Provides advanced product, scientific, and medical field support to Medical, Sales, Marketing, Managed Care, and Government using academic/professional credentials.
- Develops and maintains medical (territory and account) plans in coordination with Field Director.
Essential Functions
- Completes administrative duties in line with SOPs; complies with guidelines/policies/regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Manages regional business/operational budgets; maintains understanding of relevant processes.
- Provides monthly scientific support activity reports; records activities in VEEVA and expenses in Concur.
- Attends medical/scientific meetings; stays current on issues/new NNI data.
- Develops relationships with key providers/IHNs; supports appropriate use/utilization of NNI products.
- Collaborates with HEOR and delivers/creates scientific value propositions and presentations.
- Collaborates with Marketing/Sales to develop scientific strategies.
- Coordinates study/site activities, supports recruitment/retention, and helps ensure timely review/initiation/completion and publication.
- Coordinates integrated regional clinical/scientific coverage and system-wide clinical education/support within IHNs.
Qualifications
- Doctoral degree required.
- 2+ years’ experience in a health-related system, pharmaceutical company, or managed care environment.
- Business acumen (e.g., formulary process exposure).
- Strong communication skills.
Highly Preferred
- Rare Bleeding Disorders and/or Medical Liaison experience.
Physical/Location
- 50–75% overnight travel.
- Territory: Ohio Valley (KY, OH, PA, WV); must live in territory or nearby bordering state near a major airport.
- Valid driver’s license; maintain good standing (per company points threshold).
