Role Summary

Medical Liaison - Portfolio - NorthWest

Responsibilities

  • Builds relationships and demonstrates the clinical outcome and benefits of NNI products. Educates and demonstrates the benefits of key products to HCPs. Provides medical information and coordinates educational workshops, round tables, medical forums, etc. May explore and identify sites for clinical trials in all stages of development. Serves as a scientific liaison between NNI and external customers to further scientific exchange. Provides advanced product and scientific and medical field support to Medical, Sales and Marketing, as well as Managed Care and Government by using credentials and expertise to communicate with health care providers and organizations. Develops and maintains medical plans in coordination with Field Director.
  • Advocacy & Professional Relationship Development: Attends medical and scientific meetings, maintains awareness of current issues and data, develops relationships with key health care providers and IHNs, supports questions from health care providers and IHNs. Establishes the medical account strategy/plan through identification and cultivation of key relationships and collaboration opportunities.
  • Field-Based Clinical Support: Collaborates with HEOR to deliver scientific value propositions and presentations; informs development of scientific strategies to optimize products; coordinates with trial sites to ensure timely review, initiation, completion, and publication of results; provides clinical support to investigators and sites; coordinates with regional FMA team for comprehensive coverage; coordinates with stakeholders to provide system-wide clinical education and support within IHNs and manage professional relations; coordinates with HSM to provide education to executives and formulary stakeholders; develops and presents product updates and formulary presentations.

Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree required
  • At least two yearsβ€šΓ„Γ΄ experience in a health-related system, pharmaceutical company, or managed care environment required
  • Relevant clinical and/or therapeutic experience preferred
  • Displays business acumen/knowledge based on formulary decisions
  • Extensive experience in diabetes strongly preferred
  • Strong communication skills

Physical Requirements

  • 50-75% overnight travel required; Driver must maintain a valid driverβ€šΓ„Γ΄s license. Must be in good standing with MVR policy.
