Responsibilities:
- Build relationships and demonstrate clinical outcomes and benefits of NNI Hemoglobinopathies.
- Educate and demonstrate key product benefits to HCPs; provide medical information.
- Coordinate educational workshops, roundtables, and medical forums.
- Explore and identify sites for clinical trials across all development stages.
- Serve as a scientific liaison between NNI and external customers for scientific exchange; provide advanced product/scientific/medical field support to Medical, Sales, Marketing, Managed Care, and Government.
- Determine territory prioritization changes based on customer need and analytics; develop and maintain medical (territory and account) plans with the Field Director.
- Complete administrative tasks in line with SOPs; ensure compliance with guidelines, policies, legal/regulatory/compliance requirements.
- Provide monthly regional scientific support reports (including budget expenditures as directed).
- Record activities in a customer response system (e.g., Veeva) and expenses in Concur.
- Attend medical/scientific meetings; maintain awareness of new data; develop relationships with HCPs/IHNs and support appropriate product utilization.
- Collaborate with HEOR to deliver value propositions and provide HEOR presentations on request.
- Collaborate with Marketing/Sales on scientific strategies; support study coordination, investigator/patient recruitment & retention, and publication-related activities.
- Coordinate regional FMA clinical/scientific coverage and provide customized system-wide clinical education.

Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree required.
- At least 2 years’ experience in a health-related system, pharmaceutical company, or managed care environment required.
- Extensive Sickle Cell Disease experience strongly preferred.
- Relevant clinical and/or therapeutic experience preferred.
- Demonstrated business acumen (e.g., formulary process experience).
- Strong communication skills.

Physical/Work Requirements:
- 50–75% overnight travel.
- Territory: WEST (majority CA; also covers OR, WA, UT, ID, AZ, NM, KS, NE, SD, ND, MO, WY, CO, AK, HI).
- Field-based; live in territory or bordering state near a major airport; maintain valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Benefits/Compensation (as stated):
- Eligible for company bonus; long-term incentive compensation and/or company vehicle depending on level.
- Base pay range: Medical Liaison $170,000–$215,000; Senior Medical Liaison $198,000–$245,000.
