The Position
- Builds relationships and demonstrates the clinical outcome and benefits of NNI products.
- Educates and demonstrates benefits of key products to HCPs.
- Provides medical information; coordinates educational workshops, round tables, and medical forums.
- Explores and identifies sites for clinical trials in all stages of development.
- Functions as a scientific liaison between NNI and key external customers to further scientific exchange.
- Provides advanced product, scientific, and medical field support to Medical, Sales/Marketing, Managed Care, and Government.
- Determines and supports territory prioritization changes based on customer need and analytics.
- Develops and maintains medical (territory/account) plans with the Field Director.
Essential Functions
- Administrative: Completes duties per SOPs; complies with guidelines/policies/legal/regulatory/compliance requirements; manages regional business and operational budgets; understands relevant processes and assists other FMA members; provides monthly scientific support reports; records activities in Veeva and expenses in Concur.
- Advocacy/Relationships: Attends medical/scientific meetings; stays current on issues/data; develops relationships with key providers and IHNs; supports appropriate use/utilization of NNI products/services; supports reps/managers with HCP questions; establishes medical account strategy/plan.
- Field-based clinical support: Collaborates with HEOR; supports formulary decision makers; partners with Marketing/Sales on scientific strategies; coordinates study sites and study execution/publishing; coordinates regional FMA coverage; provides customized clinical education/support within IHNs and manages professional relations; educates Chief Executives/Medical Directors/formulary stakeholders; develops/presents product and scientific updates using approved materials.
Physical Requirements
- 50β75% overnight travel; valid driverβs license; acceptable driving record (per company points threshold).
Qualifications
- Doctoral degree (required).
- At least 2 yearsβ experience in a health-related system, pharmaceutical company, or managed care environment (required).
- Relevant clinical/therapeutic experience (preferred).
- Business acumen (e.g., formulary process decisions).
- Extensive diabetes experience (strongly preferred).
- Strong communication skills.
