Main Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a transformation strategy for Early Medical aligned with R&D integration objectives.
- Build and lead a high-performing, diverse team; create a culture of innovation, thoughtful risk-taking, and continuous improvement; develop talent pipelines.
- Drive strategic decision-making for early-stage asset development; balance scientific rigor with business objectives.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration to optimize asset development pathways; ensure alignment between early asset and overall portfolio objectives.
- Serve as the medical partner across the medical value chain for transformation.
- Use competitive intelligence; support strategic partnerships with key academic institutions for clinical development.
- Shape clinical development programs to address US unmet medical needs.
- Shape protocols to meet local clinical practice and support faster execution and patient-centric strategy.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree (MD, PharmD, PhD, or equivalent) in life sciences/medicine.
- 15+ years in pharmaceutical/biotech with progressive leadership roles in local/global Medical Affairs.
- 5+ years people management experience (multidisciplinary teams).
- Previous experience in Clinical Development and/or Medical Studies (preferred).
- Experience leading cross-functional teams.
- Experience managing budgets and resource allocation.
