Responsibilities:
- Support the US Medical Affairs Lead with the development and execution of the US Medical Launch Plan for hepatology.
- Understand the evolving US healthcare environment (provider/expert) and payer landscape and translate into medical strategy, objectives, and activities.
- Plan and execute medical tactics with the cross-functional Medical Matrix Team.
- Prioritize investment in medical activities to deliver the greatest, strategically aligned impact on patient care measured via GSKβs Medical Impact Framework.
- Lead advice seeking and external engagements to advance scientific and medical understanding of appropriate development and use of medicines, disease management, and patient care.
- Support medical grants, sponsorships, and collaborations through development of associated asset strategy.
- Partner with Medical Communications & Scientific Training and Medical Information to align communication goals and medical materials with US medicine strategy and business needs.
- Identify external experts and key online influencers and support an external engagement plan.
- Provide input to shape clinical and health outcomes evidence plans for anticipated US Market needs.
- Apply sound medical governance for all activities.
Basic Qualifications:
- Advanced Scientific or Clinical Degree (PhD, PharmD, or MD)
- 5+ years of Medical Affairs experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hepatology therapeutic area experience
- Product launch and US commercialization experience
- Business acumen; customer focus; relationship building
- Ability to drive change and demonstrate learning agility
- Understanding of medical affairs evidence generation, external engagement, and advice seeking
Compensation/Benefits (US):
- Annual base salary range (Cambridge, MA; Waltham, MA; Rockville, MD; San Francisco, CA): $187,275β$312,125; annual bonus; share-based long-term incentive eligibility; health care and other insurance benefits, retirement benefits, paid holidays, vacation, and paid caregiver/parental and medical leave.
