Position Summary
- Provide scientific leadership and medical expertise for clinical development of civorebrutinib in immune-mediated renal diseases.
- Global Medical Affairs lead for civorebrutinib (EVER001); also support nephrology franchise (including Sparsentan/FILSPARI) as needed.
- Help drive and execute Global Medical Affairs strategy and tactical plan for civorebrutinib across the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities
Strategy & Scientific Leadership
- Execute Global Medical Affairs strategy/tactical plan aligned with clinical development and evidence generation.
- Maintain expertise in civorebrutinib, immune-mediated renal diseases, competitive landscape, emerging data, and standards of care.
External Engagement & Insights
- Lead global KOL engagement strategy; build long-term relationships with KOLs, investigators, societies, and patient advocacy orgs.
- Plan and measure scientific engagement (advisory boards, expert panels, investigator meetings, scientific forums).
- Partner with Field Medical to support engagement, evidence generation, medical education, training, and capture actionable insights.
- Translate external insights into strategic recommendations for development and evidence plans.
- Lead competitive intelligence; communicate emerging trends and competitive data internally.
Scientific Communications & Evidence Generation
- Partner on scientific messaging, Scientific Communication Platform (SCP), publication/congress strategy, and medical education.
- Contribute to Integrated Evidence Planning (IEP); identify evidence gaps and prioritize research opportunities.
- Collaborate with Market Access/HEOR for evidence generation and payer engagement support.
Cross-Functional Partnership & Operations
- Collaborate with Clinical Development, HEOR, Market Access, Regulatory, Pharmacovigilance, Commercial, and Field Medical for integrated medical strategy.
- Align global/regional execution; ensure regional/field insights inform planning.
- Support internal medical training programs.
- Support civorebrutinib clinical trial program (investigator/site engagement and medical support as needed).
- Support annual strategic/tactical planning; define/track Medical Affairs KPIs.
- Manage vendors, budgets, timelines; represent company at scientific congresses and meetings.
- Maintain high standards of scientific integrity, patient focus, compliance, and ethics.

Education / Experience Requirements
- MD/MD-PhD/PharmD/PharmD-PhD/DO or other advanced relevant clinical/scientific degree.
- 6+ years Medical Affairs experience in biotech/pharma supporting clinical development and/or commercialization.
- Required: nephrology and/or immunology Medical Affairs experience; autoimmune or rare disease strongly preferred.
- Experience engaging KOLs/investigators/societies/patient advocacy orgs.
- Experience in scientific communications, publication planning, medical education, congress strategy, advisory boards.
- Collaboration experience with Clinical Development, Commercial, Market Access, HEOR, Regulatory, Pharmacovigilance, Scientific Communications, and Field Medical.

- Strategic thinking; ability to translate complex science into actionable medical/business strategies.
- Strong stakeholder influence and communication (verbal, written, presentation, interpersonal).
- Organizational/project management; prioritize multiple initiatives.
- Ethics, integrity, professionalism, compliance commitment.
- Travel up to ~40%.
- Must be able to perform face-to-face/onsite work in San Diego; not 100% remote.

- Target base pay range: $206,000.00–$268,000.00.
