Role Responsibilities:
- Provide scientific and clinical leadership for global medical affairs in colon cancer; set medical strategy covering evidence generation, data analysis/interpretation, publications, scientific communications, medical training, medical information, and payer/market access evidence.
- Execute medical strategy/tactics and advance external collaborations with healthcare practitioners, research groups, payers, and patient advocacy groups; ensure global/regional/local alignment.
- Develop and deliver colon cancer medical strategy deliverables (evidence, publications/communications, congress strategy, thought-leader engagement).
- Represent Medical Affairs on Global Product/Brand Teams to inform clinical development and patient-centric planning.
- Lead/support Phase 3B/4 evidence generation; oversee Collaborative and/or Investigator Initiated Studies.
- Lead global advisory boards; support publication plan; guide training, congress plans, and symposia.
- Build relationships with cancer research organizations, KOLs/HCPs; lead/support global KOL engagement.
- Represent Takeda Oncology at external scientific engagements.
Minimum Qualifications:
- MD, PharmD, or PhD required.
- 7+ years post-doctorate healthcare/related experience.
- 5+ years Medical Affairs or related industry experience; launch experience preferred.
- Deep knowledge of pharma industry dynamics and brand life cycle; excellent communication skills.
- Experience in oncology and/or hematology-oncology preferred.
- Ability to work in complex matrix environments and fast-paced settings.
- Proven understanding of multiple regional/country markets; stakeholder-focused.
- Experience managing budgets.
- Advanced PC skills (MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint/SharePoint); AI tools preferred.
Travel: Up to 25% domestic and international.
