Role Responsibilities
- Engage Rare Neurology experts and key customers in an assigned geography; deliver clinically focused selling messages to launch products, grow brand share and revenue, and meet product goals.
- Partner with Reimbursement & Access Specialists and other stakeholders to address customer needs, market dynamics/trends, and develop strategies supporting brand and corporate objectives.
- Build strong working relationships with customers and internal stakeholders (clinics, physicians, nurses, patient advocacy groups, Clinical Nurse Educators, Marketing, National Accounts, Training/Trade, etc.).
- Conduct rare neurology-specific market profiling to understand regional/local care delivery, influencers, and payer systems.
- Apply strategic account selling/management: develop comprehensive territory/account/customer plans to achieve objectives.
- Maintain a “total account call” approach to educate all personnel in the account on available products.
- Develop and execute tactics in key accounts to establish, generate, and expand market share.
- Identify business opportunities and coordinate efforts within the Rare Neurology account team (e.g., support contracting pull-through).
- Develop deep account knowledge via internal research and stakeholder information (business model, metrics, challenges, strategic goals).
Qualifications (Required/Preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree (required); Master’s degree/advanced education/certifications (preferred).
- 5+ years successful Neurology sales experience (strongly preferred); specialty/biologic/REMS products; launch experience (preferred).
- 2+ years working with key thought leaders or high-influence customers in neurology-focused large group practices, academic hospitals, or managed care organizations.
- Proven consistent sales performance in complex markets with integrity and compliance.
- Results-oriented; track record of product launch success.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, planning, and account management skills.
- Experience calling on large neurology group practices and/or integrated delivery networks.
- Strong understanding of the Neurology therapeutic area and marketplace.
