Medical Account Specialist II - NEUROLOGY - WASHINGTON, DC

Responsibilities:
- Engage Rare Neurology experts and key customers in an assigned geography; deliver clinically focused selling messages to launch products, grow brand share/revenue, and achieve product goals.
- Develop and execute account strategies to grow market share.
- Partner with collaboration stakeholders (e.g., Reimbursement and Access Specialists and others) to address customer needs, market dynamics/trends, and support brand/corporate objectives.
- Build strong relationships with physicians, nurses, clinics, key healthcare providers, patient advocacy groups, and internal partners (e.g., Clinical Nurse Educators, Marketing, National Accounts, Training and Trade).
- Conduct rare neurology-specific market profiling to understand regional/local healthcare delivery, influencers, and payer systems.
- Use strategic account selling/management to create comprehensive territory/account/customer plans.
- Support the “total account call” by educating all account personnel on available products.
- Develop and execute tactics within key accounts to establish, generate, and expand market share.
- Identify business opportunities and coordinate efforts (e.g., support contracting pull-through).
- Gather and integrate account information (business model, metrics, challenges, strategic goals) to deepen account knowledge.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (required); Master’s degree or advanced certifications (preferred).
- 5+ years successful Neurology sales (strongly preferred), including specialty/biologic/REMS; launch experience preferred.
- 2+ years working with thought leaders/high-influence customers in large group practices, academic hospitals, or managed care (Neurology concentration).
- Proven consistent sales performance in complex markets with strong integrity/compliance.
- Results-oriented; proven product launch success.
- Strong account management with analytical, problem-solving, planning skills.
- Current experience calling on large Neurology group practices and/or integrated delivery networks.
- Strong understanding of Neurology therapeutic area and marketplace.
Location: Washington, DC (Metro) – Field Based.
Compensation: $158,950–$220,000 (annual).
