Medical Account Specialist II - NEUROLOGY -THOUSAND OAKS, CA - West

Responsibilities:
- Engage rare neurology experts and key customers in an assigned geography; deliver clinically focused selling messages to launch products, grow brand share/revenue, and meet product goals.
- Develop and execute account strategies to grow market share; build relationships with clinicians, physicians, nurses, institutions, and patient advocacy groups.
- Partner with Reimbursement and Access specialists and other stakeholders to proactively address customer needs, market dynamics, and trends.
- Build strong working relationships across internal and external partners (e.g., Clinical Nurse Educators, Marketing, National Accounts, Training and Trade).
- Conduct rare neurology-specific market profiling (health care delivery, influencers, payer systems).
- Create territory/account/customer plans; emphasize the “total account call” to educate all account personnel on commercially available products.
- Identify business opportunities and coordinate account-team efforts (e.g., contracting pull-through).
- Gather and integrate account intelligence (business model, metrics, challenges, goals) to guide strategy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (required); Master’s degree/advanced education or certifications (preferred).
- 5+ years successful Neurology sales (strongly preferred), including specialty/biologic/REMS; launch experience (preferred).
- 2+ years working with key thought leaders/high-influence customers in neurology-focused large group practices, academic hospitals, or managed care.
- Proven consistent sales performance in complex markets with integrity/compliance.
- Results-oriented; strong account management with analytical/problem-solving/planning skills.
- Current experience calling on large neurology group practices and/or IDNs.
- Strong understanding of the neurology therapeutic area and current marketplace.
Compensation:
- $158,950 - $220,000 annually.
