- Engage rare neurology experts and other key customers within an assigned geography; deliver clinically focused selling messages to launch products, grow brand share/revenue, and consistently deliver product goals.
- Partner with Reimbursement and Access Specialists and other stakeholders to proactively address customer needs, market dynamics/trends, and develop strategies supporting brand and corporate objectives.
- Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders including clinics, physicians, nurses, patient advocacy groups, Clinical Nurse Educators, Marketing, National Accounts, Training and Trade, and the Reimbursement and Access Specialist team.
- Conduct rare neurology-specific market profiling to understand regional/local care delivery, influencers, and payer systems.
- Use deep knowledge of applicable customers and markets (prescribers/HCPs/institutions/organizations).
- Apply strategic account selling/management; develop comprehensive territory/account/customer plans to drive objectives.
- Emphasize the “total account call” by ensuring all personnel in the account are educated on commercially available products.
- Develop and execute tactics in key accounts to establish, generate, and expand market share.
- Identify business opportunities and coordinate with the account team (e.g., support contracting pull-through).
- Gain deep account knowledge via internal research and integrating stakeholder information (business model, metrics, challenges, and goals).
This Role Requires:
- Bachelor’s degree (Master’s or advanced education/certifications a plus).
- 5+ years successful neurology sales; specialty/biologic/REMS experience strongly preferred; launch experience preferred.
- 2+ years working with key thought leaders/high-influence customers in large group practices, academic hospitals, or managed care organizations (neurology concentration).
- Proven consistent sales performance in complex, diverse markets with high integrity and compliance.
- Results orientation and product launch track record.
- Strong account management with analytical/problem-solving/planning skills.
- Experience calling on large neurology group practices and/or integrated delivery networks.
- Strong understanding of neurology therapeutic area and current neurology marketplace.
