Medical Account Specialist II - NEUROLOGY - RICHMOND, VA

Responsibilities:
- Engage Rare Neurology experts and key customers in an assigned geography; deliver clinically focused selling messages to launch products, grow brand share and revenue, and achieve product goals.
- Develop and execute account strategies to grow market share.
- Partner with Reimbursement and Access Specialists and other stakeholders to address customer needs, market dynamics, and trends; develop strategies supporting brand and corporate objectives.
- Build strong working relationships with clinicians, physicians, nurses, healthcare providers, patient advocacy groups, and internal teams (e.g., Clinical Nurse Educators, Marketing, National Accounts, Training and Trade, and Reimbursement and Access).
- Conduct rare neurology-specific market profiling (regional/local delivery, influencers, and payer systems).
- Use strategic account selling/management skills; develop comprehensive territory/account/customer plans.
- Ensure the “total account call” approach so all account personnel are educated on commercially available products.
- Develop and execute tactics within key accounts to establish, generate, and expand market share.
- Identify business opportunities and coordinate with the Rare Neurology account team (e.g., support contracting pull-through).
- Gain deep account knowledge via internal research and stakeholder input (business model, metrics, challenges, strategic goals).
Required/Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (mandatory); Master’s degree or advanced education/certifications (plus).
- 5+ years successful Neurology sales experience; specialty/biologic/REMS products strongly preferred; launch experience preferred.
- 2+ years working with key thought leaders/high-influence customers in large group practices, academic hospitals, or managed care organizations (Neurology focused).
- Proven consistent sales performance in complex markets with integrity within compliance guidelines.
- Results-oriented track record with product launches.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and planning/account management skills.
- Current experience calling on large Neurology group practices and/or integrated delivery networks.
- Strong understanding of the Neurology therapeutic area and current marketplace.
