Medical Account Specialist II - NEUROLOGY - RALEIGH , NC

Responsibilities:
- Engage Rare Neurology experts and key customers within an assigned geography; deliver clinically focused selling messages to launch products, grow brand share and revenue, and achieve product goals.
- Develop and execute account strategies to grow market share.
- Partner with Reimbursement and Access Specialists and other stakeholders to proactively address customer needs, market dynamics/trends, and support brand/corporate objectives in the territory.
- Build strong relationships with clinicians, physicians, nurses, healthcare providers, and patient advocacy groups; coordinate with internal teams (e.g., Reimbursement and Access, Clinical Nurse Educators, Marketing, National Accounts, Training/Trade).
- Conduct rare neurology-specific market profiling (regional/local delivery, influencers, payer systems).
- Plan and execute strategic account selling/management; develop comprehensive territory/account/customer plans.
- Emphasize the “total account call” to educate all account personnel on commercially available products.
- Identify business opportunities and coordinate effort (e.g., support contracting pull-through).
- Gain deep knowledge of each assigned account (business model, metrics, challenges, strategic goals).
Qualifications / Required:
- Bachelor’s degree (mandatory).
Qualifications / Preferred:
- Master’s degree or advanced education/certifications.
- 5+ years successful Neurology sales; experience with specialty/biologic/REMS products (strongly preferred); launch experience preferred.
- 2+ years working with key thought leaders/high-influence customers in large group practices, academic hospitals, or managed care organizations (Neurology concentration).
- Proven consistent sales performance in complex markets with integrity and compliance.
- Results orientation; demonstrated product launch success.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and planning/account management skills.
- Experience calling on large Neurology group practices and/or integrated delivery networks.
- Strong understanding of the Neurology therapeutic area and current marketplace.
