Medical Account Specialist II - NEUROLOGY - NEWARK, NJ

The Rare Neurology Medical Account Specialist (MS) engages Neurology specialists and key stakeholders within an assigned geography to deliver clinically focused messaging that drives revenue and achieves product goals.
Location: Field based (Newark (Metro), New Jersey)
Responsibilities:
- Engage Rare Neurology experts and key customers; deliver clinically focused selling messages to launch products, grow brand share, revenue, and consistently meet product goals.
- Partner with Reimbursement and Access Specialists and other stakeholders to address customer needs, market dynamics/trends, and develop strategies supporting brand and corporate objectives.
- Build strong relationships with clinics, physicians, nurses, health care providers, patient advocacy groups, Clinical Nurse Educators, Marketing, National Accounts, Training and Trade.
- Conduct rare neurology-specific market profiling to understand regional/local care delivery, influencers, and payer systems.
- Use strategic account selling/management; develop territory/account/customer plans.
- Apply “total account call” approach to educate all account personnel on commercially available products.
- Develop and execute tactics in key accounts to establish, generate, and expand market share.
- Identify business opportunities and coordinate with the account team (e.g., contracting pull-through).
- Gain deep account knowledge via internal research and information gathering.
Qualifications/Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree (Master’s or advanced certifications a plus).
- 5+ years successful Neurology sales experience (specialty/biologic/REMS strongly preferred; launch experience preferred).
- 2+ years experience working with key thought leaders/high-influence customers in neurology-focused large group practices, academic hospitals, or managed care.
- Proven integrity-compliant sales success in complex markets; results-oriented with launch track record.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and planning/account management skills.
- Current experience calling on large Neurology group practices and/or integrated delivery networks.
- Strong understanding of the Neurology therapeutic area and marketplace.
Compensation:
- Salary range (annually): $158,950 - $220,000.
