Rare Neurology Medical Account Specialist (MS)
Responsibilities:
- Engage Rare Neurology experts and other key customers in an assigned geography; deliver clinically focused selling messages to launch products, grow brand share and revenue, and consistently meet product goals.
- Partner with Reimbursement and Access Specialists and other stakeholders to proactively address customer needs, market dynamics/trends, and develop strategies supporting brand and corporate objectives in the territory.
- Build strong working relationships with customers and internal stakeholders (clinics, physicians, nurses, patient advocacy groups, Clinical Nurse Educators, Marketing, National Accounts, Training and Trade, etc.).
- Conduct rare neurology-specific market profiling to understand regional/local healthcare delivery, influencers, and payer systems.
- Apply deep knowledge of applicable customers and markets (prescribers/HCPs/institutions/organizations).
- Execute strategic account selling and management; develop comprehensive territory/account/customer plans.
- Emphasize the “total account call” to educate all personnel in the account on commercially available Regeneron products.
- Develop strategy and tactics in key accounts to establish, generate, and expand market share.
- Identify business opportunities and coordinate efforts with the account team (e.g., support contracting pull-through).
- Gain deep knowledge of each assigned account by gathering and integrating information from internal and account stakeholders.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree (mandatory); Master’s degree or advanced education/certifications (plus).
- Minimum 5 years successful Neurology sales experience (strongly preferred); specialty/biologic/REMS products; launch experience (preferred).
- Minimum 2 years working with key thought leaders/high-influence customers in large group practices, academic hospitals, or managed care organizations (Neurology concentration).
- Proven consistent sales performance in complex markets with integrity and compliance.
- Results-oriented; proven track record with product launches.
- Strong account management with analytical/problem-solving/planning skills.
- Current experience calling on large Neurology group practices and/or integrated delivery networks.
- Strong understanding of the Neurology therapeutic area and current marketplace.
