Medical Account Specialist II - NEUROLOGY - KANSAS CITY, MO - Mountain West

Responsibilities:
- Engage Rare Neurology experts and key customers in an assigned geography with clinically focused selling messages to launch products, grow brand share and revenue, and meet product goals.
- Develop and execute account strategies to grow market share.
- Partner with Reimbursement and Access and other stakeholders to address customer needs, market dynamics, and trends; develop strategies supporting brand and corporate objectives in the territory.
- Build strong relationships with clinicians, physicians, nurses, health care providers, and patient advocacy groups; coordinate with internal teams (e.g., Clinical Nurse Educators, Marketing, National Accounts, Training & Trade).
- Conduct rare neurology-specific market profiling (regional/local delivery, influencers, and payer systems).
- Demonstrate emphasis on the “total account call” by educating all account personnel on commercially available products.
- Develop comprehensive territory/account/customer plans; strategically execute tactics within key accounts to establish, generate, and expand market share.
- Identify business opportunities and coordinate effort for the account team (e.g., support contracting pull-through).
- Gather and integrate account information (business model, relevant metrics, challenges, strategic goals) through internal research.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (mandatory); Master’s degree or advanced certifications (plus).
- 5+ years successful Neurology sales experience; specialty/biologic/REMS products strongly preferred; launch experience preferred.
- 2+ years working with thought leaders/high-influence customers in large group practices, academic hospitals, or managed care organizations with a Neurology focus.
- Proven consistent sales performance in complex markets with integrity and compliance.
- Results-oriented; proven product launch success.
- Strong account management with analytical, problem-solving, and planning skills.
- Experience calling on large Neurology group practices and/or integrated delivery networks.
- Strong understanding of Neurology therapeutic area and current market.
