The Rare Neurology Medical Account Specialist (MS) engages Neurology specialists and key stakeholders across diverse care settings within an assigned geography. Delivers clinically focused messaging to drive revenue, achieve product goals, and demonstrate compliant, integrity-driven performance.
Responsibilities:
- Engage rare neurology experts and customers; deliver clinically focused selling messages to launch product, grow brand share and revenue, and meet product goals.
- Develop and execute account strategies to grow market share.
- Partner with Reimbursement and Access Specialists and other stakeholders to address customer needs, market dynamics, and trends.
- Build strong relationships with clinicians, nurses, healthcare providers, patient advocacy groups, and internal partners.
- Conduct rare neurology-specific market profiling (delivery, influencers, payer systems).
- Use strategic account selling/management; develop territory/account/customer plans.
- Emphasize the “total account call” to educate all account personnel on commercially available products.
- Identify business opportunities and coordinate pull-through contracting efforts.
- Gain deep account knowledge (business model, metrics, challenges, strategic goals) via internal research.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (Master’s or advanced certifications a plus).
- 5+ years successful Neurology sales; specialty/biologic/REMS products strongly preferred; launch experience preferred.
- 2+ years working with key thought leaders/high-influence customers in neurology-focused large group practices, academic hospitals, or managed care.
- Proven sales success in complex markets with integrity and compliance.
- Results-oriented; proven product launch success.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and planning; current experience calling on large neurology group practices and/or IDNs.
Location: Indianapolis (Metro), Indiana. Field-based.
Compensation: $158,950–$220,000 annually.
