Medical Account Specialist II - NEUROLOGY - HOUSTON (SOUTH), TX

The Rare Neurology Medical Account Specialist (MS) is responsible for engaging Neurology specialists and key stakeholders across an assigned geography and delivering clinically focused messaging to drive revenue, achieve product goals, and grow market share.
Responsibilities:
- Engage Rare Neurology experts/customers and deliver clinically focused selling messages to launch products, grow brand share and revenue, and meet product goals.
- Partner with Reimbursement and Access Specialists and other stakeholders to address customer needs, market dynamics/trends, and develop strategies aligned to brand and corporate objectives.
- Build strong relationships with clinicians, physicians, nurses, healthcare providers, patient advocacy groups, and internal stakeholders (e.g., Reimbursement and Access, Clinical Nurse Educators, Marketing, National Accounts, Training and Trade).
- Conduct rare neurology-specific market profiling (regional/local delivery, influencers, payer systems).
- Apply strategic account selling and management; develop territory/account/customer plans to achieve objectives.
- Emphasize the “total account call” by educating all personnel in the account on commercially available products.
- Develop and execute tactics in key accounts to establish, generate, and expand market share.
- Identify business opportunities and coordinate account-team efforts (e.g., contracting pull-through).
- Gain deep account knowledge through internal research and information gathering (business model, metrics, challenges, strategic goals).
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree or advanced education/certifications a plus).
- Minimum 5 years successful Neurology sales experience; specialty/biologic/REMS products strongly preferred; launch experience preferred.
- Minimum 2 years working with key thought leaders/high-influence customers in large group practices, academic hospitals, or managed care organizations with a Neurology focus.
- Proven consistent sales performance in complex markets with integrity and compliance.
- Results-oriented; proven product launch success.
- Strong account management plus analytical/problem-solving/planning skills.
- Experience calling on large Neurology group practices and/or integrated delivery networks.
- Strong understanding of the Neurology therapeutic area and current marketplace.
