- Engage Rare Neurology experts and key customers within an assigned geography; deliver clinically focused selling messages to launch products, grow brand share and revenue, and consistently deliver product goals.
- Partner with Reimbursement and Access Specialists and other stakeholders to proactively address customer needs, market dynamics/trends, and develop strategies supporting brand and corporate objectives in the territory.
- Develop strong working relationships with customers and internal/external contacts including clinics, physicians, nurses, patient advocacy groups, Clinical Nurse Educators, Marketing, National Accounts, Training and Trade.
- Conduct rare neurology-specific market profiling to understand regional/local healthcare delivery, influencers, and payer systems.
- Apply deep knowledge of applicable customers and markets (prescribers/HCPs/institutions/organizations).
- Use strategic account selling and management skills; develop comprehensive territory/account/customer plans to meet objectives.
- Emphasize the “total account call” to ensure all personnel in the account are educated on commercially available products.
- Develop and execute tactics within key accounts to establish, generate, and expand market share.
- Identify business opportunities with assigned accounts and coordinate efforts with the Rare Neurology account team (e.g., contracting pull-through).
- Gain deep knowledge of each assigned account via internal research and stakeholder input (business model, metrics, challenges, strategic goals).
This Role Requires
- Bachelor’s degree (Master’s or advanced certifications a plus).
- 5+ years Neurology sales experience; specialty/biologic/REMS and launch experience strongly preferred.
- 2+ years experience working with key thought leaders/high-influence customers in large group practices, academic hospitals, or managed care (Neurology-focused).
- Proven success in complex markets with integrity/compliance.
- Results-oriented; proven track record of product launches.
- Strong account management; analytical/problem-solving/planning skills.
- Experience calling on large Neurology group practices and/or integrated delivery networks.
- Strong understanding of the Neurology therapeutic area and current marketplace.
