Rare Neurology Medical Account Specialist (MS) — Field-based (Cleveland Metro, OH)
Responsibilities:
- Engage Rare Neurology experts and key customers in an assigned geography with clinically focused selling messages to launch products, grow brand share, revenue, and achieve product goals.
- Develop and execute account strategies to grow market share; conduct total account calling.
- Partner with Reimbursement and Access Specialists and other stakeholders to address customer needs, market dynamics/trends, and support brand/corporate objectives.
- Build strong relationships with clinics, physicians, nurses, health care providers, and patient advocacy support groups; collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Clinical Nurse Educators, Marketing, National Accounts, Training and Trade).
- Perform rare neurology-specific market profiling (delivery, influencers, payer systems).
- Create territory/account/customer plans using analytical/problem-solving skills; gain deep knowledge of each account (business model, metrics, challenges, goals).
- Identify business opportunities and coordinate with the Rare Neurology account team (e.g., contracting pull-through).
- Support sales success through participation in congresses, regional meetings, and industry events.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (required); Master’s degree or advanced education/certifications (preferred).
- 5+ years successful Neurology sales experience (strongly preferred); specialty/biologic/REMS; launch experience (preferred).
- 2+ years working with key thought leaders/high-influence customers in neurology-focused large group practices, academic hospitals, or managed care.
- Proven sales performance in complex markets with integrity/compliance; results-oriented; strong account management.
- Current experience calling on large Neurology group practices and/or integrated delivery networks.
- Strong understanding of the Neurology therapeutic area and marketplace.
Salary range (annually): $158,950 - $220,000.
