Medical Account Specialist II - NEUROLOGY - CHICAGO South, IL

Responsibilities:
- Engage Rare Neurology experts and key customers in an assigned geography and deliver clinically focused selling messages to launch products, grow brand share and revenue, and meet product goals.
- Partner with Reimbursement and Access Specialists and other stakeholders to proactively address customer needs, market dynamics, and trends; develop strategies supporting brand/corporate objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clinicians, physicians, nurses, healthcare providers, patient advocacy groups, Clinical Nurse Educators, Marketing, National Accounts, Training and Trade.
- Conduct rare neurology-specific market profiling to understand regional/local healthcare delivery, influencers, and payer systems.
- Demonstrate “total account call” by educating all account personnel on commercially available products.
- Develop territory/account/customer plans; execute strategy and tactics within key accounts to establish, generate, and expand market share.
- Identify business opportunities with assigned accounts and coordinate contracting pull-through support.
- Gain deep knowledge of each account via internal research and information gathering (business model, metrics, challenges, strategic goals).
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (required). Master’s degree or additional advanced education/certifications (preferred).
- Minimum 5 years successful Neurology sales experience (strongly preferred) including specialty/biologic/REMS products; launch experience (preferred).
- Minimum 2 years working with key thought leaders/high-influence customers in large group practices, academic hospitals, or managed care organizations focused on Neurology.
- Proven consistent sales performance in complex markets with strong integrity/compliance.
- Results-oriented; proven product launch success.
- Strong account management with analytical, problem-solving, and planning skills.
- Current experience calling on large Neurology group practices and/or IDNs.
- Strong understanding of the Neurology therapeutic area and current Neurology marketplace.
