The Rare Neurology Medical Account Specialist (MS) engages Neurology specialists and key stakeholders across care settings within an assigned geography to deliver clinically focused messaging that drives revenue and achieves product goals.
Responsibilities:
- Engage Rare Neurology experts and key customers in assigned geography; deliver clinically focused selling messages to launch products, grow brand share and revenue, and meet product goals.
- Partner with Reimbursement and Access Specialists and other stakeholders to address customer needs, market dynamics/trends, and develop strategies supporting brand/corporate objectives.
- Build strong relationships with customers and internal contacts (clinics, physicians, nurses, patient advocacy groups, Reimbursement/Access, Clinical Nurse Educators, Marketing, National Accounts, Training/Trade).
- Conduct rare neurology-specific market profiling (care delivery, influencers, payer systems).
- Use strong understanding of applicable customers/markets (prescribers/HCPs/institutions/organizations).
- Develop and execute strategic territory/account/customer plans to drive objectives; emphasize the โtotal account call.โ
- Develop strategy and execute tactics in key accounts to establish/generate/expand market share.
- Identify business opportunities and coordinate efforts (e.g., contracting pull-through).
- Gain deep knowledge of assigned accounts via internal research and stakeholder inputs (business model, metrics, challenges, strategic goals).
Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs degree mandatory; Masterโs degree/advanced education/certifications a plus.
- Minimum 5 years successful Neurology sales; specialty/biologic/REMS products strongly preferred; launch experience preferred.
- Minimum 2 years working with key thought leaders/high-influence customers in large group practices, academic hospitals, or managed care organizations (Neurology).
- Proven consistent sales performance in complex, diverse markets with integrity/compliance.
- Results-oriented with product launch success.
- Strong account management (analytical, problem-solving, planning) and experience calling on large Neurology group practices and/or IDNs.
- Strong understanding of Neurology therapeutic area and marketplace.
