A Hematology Oncology Account Specialist engages Hematologists and other key Oncology customers across academic centers, large group practices, IDNs, and community accounts to support the launch of a Multiple Myeloma product. Delivers clinically focused selling messages to build brand share and revenue and consistently meet product goals while rigorously following all relevant pharmaceutical promotion policies.
Responsibilities
- Engage Hematologists and key Oncology customers with clinically focused selling messages to grow brand share, revenue, and product goals.
- Partner with internal collaborators (Regional Director, Nurse Educator, Key Account Manager, Oncology account specialists, Reimbursement specialists) to resolve customer needs, identify market dynamics/trends, and develop strategies for assigned territory.
- Build strong relationships across designated accounts and specialists; understand account objectives, goals, and challenges.
- Conduct market profiling to understand regional/local care delivery, influencers, and payer systems.
- Identify business opportunities and coordinate with the oncology account team (e.g., support contracting pull-through).
- Ensure compliance in all customer interactions.
Qualifications
- Advanced clinically based and account-based selling skills.
- 5+ years successful Oncology sales experience (Hematology/Oncology preferred).
- Buy-and-bill experience with biologics required.
- 3+ years working with key thought leaders/high-influence customers in group practices, academic hospitals, or key institutions.
- Current account management calling on large Oncology group practices and/or IDNs.
- Strong understanding of Hematology/Oncology therapeutic area and current oncology marketplace.
- Bachelor’s degree (Master’s/advanced education/certifications a plus).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and planning skills; ability to collaborate across reporting structures; passion for science.
- Ability to travel to cover large geography.
Salary range (annually): $158,950–$220,000.
