Job Description:
The Manufacturing Supervisor I leads and facilitates safe operations in line with all safety, regulatory and operational requirements. Ensures delivery of high customer service, product/service quality, regulatory compliance, desired financial performance (including cost reductions), and a high-performance culture.
Responsibilities:
- Safety: Make safety the top priority; drive safety improvements and conduct routine safety gemba; promote zero safety incidents in compliance with EHS requirements.
- People: Manage 5 team members; delegate tasks to meet production schedules; ensure required job training; run regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and survey action plans; ensure weekly time/attendance approval; communicate key information to the team.
- Operational: Coordinate shift activities to meet production schedules; ensure smooth shift handover for safe planning and execution.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies; conduct routine material checks, line clearance checks, and spot checks; manage any compliance issues impacting lot completion.
- Performance: Manage complete cycle time and change-over time; continuously seek improvements.
- Development: Train and assign progressively challenging tasks; ensure development plans/actions for personnel; support growth and maintain a growth mindset.
- Operation Excellence (OpEx): Participate in process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree required; sciences or engineering strongly preferred.
- Pharmaceutical industry experience strongly preferred.
- 2 years of manufacturing or related experience required; supervisor experience preferred.
- Systems: Proficient in Microsoft Office; manufacturing systems such as SAP.
- Regulatory: Working knowledge of safety, quality systems, and cGMPs; familiarity with documentation in highly regulated environments; good writing skills.
