Position Summary
The responsibilities of a Manufacturing Technician are to support the laboratory staff with the process of hematology products and components, including component fixation, separation and washes, and blending products according to approved protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with processing of animal and human blood.
- Perform component procedures as assigned.
- Ensure that product is manufactured according to deadline.
- Monitor reagent and supply inventory.
- Clean and maintain work areas in accordance with procedures.
- Accurately complete and maintain required documents in accordance with procedures.
- Display a willingness to learn new concepts and techniques.
- Follow company policies and practices and follow guidelines regarding safety.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Minimum of 2 years laboratory experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to follow procedures and knowledge of nonconformance.
- Ability to handle blood.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and practices.
- Knowledge of SOPs and lab procedures.
