In This Role, You’ll Have The Opportunity To
- Oversee processing, review, and approval of all equity compensation transactions (grants, vesting, exercises, cancellations, forfeitures, modifications) for stock options, RSUs, PSUs, ESPP, and other equity plans.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of employee and equity records in stock administration systems.
- Maintain the Equity Edge Online (EEO) stock plan database (configuration, data integrity, reconciliations, controls).
- Perform reconciliations between EEO and related systems (HRIS, payroll, transfer agent, broker platforms).
- Manage relationships with third-party equity administration vendors.
- Develop, document, and maintain stock administration procedures and internal controls.
- Prepare/review/support monthly, quarterly, and annual stock-based compensation accounting (journal entries, tax accruals).
- Ensure compliance with ASC 718 and applicable accounting guidance.
- Prepare and maintain technical equity compensation accounting memoranda.
- Provide equity compensation data for financial statements, footnotes, and management reporting.
- Support SEC reporting (10-Q, 10-K, proxy, and other filings as needed).
- Coordinate equity-related SOX compliance (control design, documentation, testing support, remediation).
- Coordinate with Payroll for tax withholding/reporting/remittance across jurisdictions.
- Run standard and ad-hoc tax/accounting reports from EEO.
- Prepare/review/submit Forms 3, 4, and 5 through Workiva with Legal for Section 16 reporting.
- Provide equity-related data/analyses/presentation materials for Proxy disclosure and Compensation Committee.
- Monitor compliance with equity plan terms, IRS regulations, and company policies.
- Partner with Legal and HR on equity administration, participant communications, and governance.
- Serve as primary point of contact for internal/external auditors for equity-related audits.
- Prepare audit schedules and support walkthroughs and testing.
- Provide equity compensation reporting/analyses/ad-hoc support to Finance & Accounting, HR, Legal, and senior leadership.
To Succeed In This Role, You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
- 6+ years progressive experience in stock administration and/or equity compensation accounting; at least 3 years hands-on equity plan administration using Equity Edge Online (EEO) or comparable platform.
- Strong hands-on experience with stock-based compensation accounting under ASC 718.
- Experience supporting SEC reporting, SOX controls, and external audits related to equity compensation.
- Deep understanding of equity compensation vehicles, plan administration, and related accounting/tax implications.
- Advanced proficiency with Equity Edge Online or similar equity administration systems.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; strong PowerPoint skills for executive-ready presentations.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to explain complex equity and accounting concepts.
