Responsibilities:
- Identify, evaluate, and prioritize product opportunities across the U.S. and Canada by monitoring market trends, competitive dynamics, new approvals, and portfolio fit.
- Conduct market intelligence, forecasting, and business case analyses to support product selection, ROI assessments, and long-term portfolio growth strategies.
- Track pipeline progress, development timelines, and business risks to support portfolio prioritization and decision-making.
- Assess internal development, in-licensing, and business development opportunities to optimize portfolio value and support future growth.
- Support launch planning by tracking the portfolio pipeline and maintaining a realistic three-year launch calendar.
- Ensure market and commercial insights are reflected in launch planning requirements.
- Partner with commercial product managers to consolidate priorities and communicate key asks to execution teams.
- Monitor intellectual property, regulatory, and competitor dynamics impacting launch timing or strategy.
- Evaluate in-licensing, partnerships, acquisition, and business development opportunities via market, portfolio, and financial analysis.
- Conduct competitive benchmarking, portfolio assessments, and financial modeling (NPV, IRR, ROI) and provide leadership recommendations.
- Partner with Commercial, R&D, Regulatory, IP, Supply Chain, Finance, and Business Development teams to drive portfolio decisions and launch readiness.
- Translate insights into actionable recommendations and facilitate cross-functional alignment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree required; MBA or equivalent advanced business qualification preferred.
- 8+ years pharmaceutical industry experience in portfolio management, product/pipeline selection & development, marketing, business development, strategic business planning, or related areas.
Skills/Attributes (Required/Preferred):
- Strong portfolio management and product development lifecycle knowledge.
- Deep knowledge of North America generics markets (growth drivers, competitive landscape, regulations) and generics regulatory landscape.
- Analytical skills: forecasting, market analysis, business case development, and financial modeling (NPV, IRR, ROI).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; data analysis tools.
- Preferred: experience using IQVIA or similar market intelligence platforms.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, presentation, influencing, and cross-functional collaboration.
