Overview:
The Market Access Training Manager leads role-specific development and training for Market Access Teams, including Account Directors in Strategic Account Management and additional emerging roles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct needs analysis with FVP and Account Directors in Market Access customer-facing teams to align training with training outcomes and legal/compliance/regulatory requirements (new hire, virtual, advanced training, etc.).
- Support Market Access training projects and initiatives, including leadership/enterprise projects and large cross-functional training (e.g., product launches), providing Market Access landscape expertise and consulting.
- Develop and manage continuous curriculum enhancements via multi-media delivery channels, learning tools, e-learning, assessment programs, and related content.
- Evaluate training events using good training and adult learning principles; ensure all materials/resources complete the proper legal, compliance, and/or regulatory review before delivery.
- Perform ongoing needs analysis (customer/internal feedback, field interactions, SMEs, etc.) and adjust training strategies/curriculums as needed.
- Create new-hire onboarding and continuous training curriculum for Market Access customer-facing teams.
- Establish and maintain effective communication within the team and across Business Units and U.S. Commercial.
- Lead cross-functionally/matrix partners through partnership and collaboration.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree.
- 5+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience.
- 3+ years of Market Access experience.
- Experience with account management and stakeholder engagement in a cross-functional, matrixed organization.
- Reside in Durham or Philadelphia.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA/other.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly; excellent written and verbal communication.
- Strong platform style for large-group presentations at regional/national meetings.
- Strong project management; scheduling, planning, and prioritizing multiple initiatives with conflicting deadlines.
- Ability to plan/execute under ambiguity and short timelines.
- Executive presence influencing senior decision-makers.
- Proven learning initiative results linked to business outcomes.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles across multiple modalities.
- Ability to operate independently and lead in a matrix environment without direct reports.
