Role Summary
The Manager, Human Resources will provide HR generalist support to Teva’s US Commercial business unit with a focus on the US Innovative Medicines field sales organization for designated territories. This role aligns HR initiatives with business objectives, drives talent strategies, and fosters a high-performance culture across the sales function. Reports to the US Commercial HRBP and collaborates with the HR Director supporting the IM Sales organization.
Responsibilities
- Establish partnerships across the HR organization including Centers of Expertise and HR Operations to deliver value-added service to management and employees.
- Review, recommend, and implement process improvements related to onboarding, employee engagement, and retention to accelerate business performance.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to interview, attract and retain top sales talent.
- Address and resolve employee concerns or conflicts; conduct investigations; collaborate with Employee Relations COE for complex cases.
- Facilitate Performance Improvement Plans with leaders for employees with below-standard performance.
- Support annual performance reviews and merit planning; collaborate with Total Rewards on competitive pay structures for sales roles.
- Serve as a project leader or team member for HR or business-driven initiatives (e.g., organizational changes, cultural change, rewards, effectiveness).
- Provide coaching and counseling to employees and management with professionalism in sensitive matters.
- Ensure HR practices comply with laws; educate managers on HR policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of prior HR generalist experience with increasing responsibilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Prior experience supporting a commercial or sales organization and/or pharmaceutical industry preferred.
- Experience supporting large/complex organizations in matrixed, cross-functional environments preferred.
Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication.
- Interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships and influence remote and field-based employees.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; advanced Excel and analytical skills preferred.
- Experience in a matrix, fast-paced, high-performance environment; collaboration and change management skills.
- Ability to use HR analytics to identify trends and drive better business outcomes; dashboard-driven decision making.
- Prioritization and multi-tasking; ability to maintain confidentiality.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
Additional Requirements
- Travel: Approximately 15% domestic travel required.
