Role Summary
The Manager, HR Operations is a key member of the HR team supporting specific projects and providing operational, analytical, compliance and tactical services. The Manager, HR Operations will provide support for managers and individual contributors throughout the organization. The scope of this role spans a broad range of work, including but not limited to talent management, compliance, organization structure, employee engagement and development, total rewards, and employee relations. This position requires the Manager, HR Operations to be on-site at our Lexington, MA location two to three days per week.
Responsibilities
- Manages the onboarding process involving pre-hire documentation, pre-hire processes, HR orientation session, etc.
- Manages the offboarding process involving post-separation documentation, benefits termination, COBRA administration, etc.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Advises employees on HR policy and practices and influences by building positive working relationships and partnerships.
- Supports the recruitment efforts of the organization by assisting in requisition creation, screening, background checks, etc.
- Provides reporting and analytics to support workforce planning, attrition, new hire analytics, and supporting details related to business needs.
- Annual compliance & reporting requirements to both federal and state agencies.
- Annual benefits survey & compensation survey submission to agencies (Radford, HR Biotech).
- Assists colleagues, employees and managers as needed with the administration of leave of absences including FMLA, STD/LTD, ADA and the interactive dialogue process.
- Provides general benefits support for employees and is the focal contact for the ADP comprehensive benefits team and all insurance carriers.
- Work closely with the Finance/Accounting team on several cross-departmental initiatives and procedures which require HR execution.
- Manages the ADP HRIS and investigates ways to improve Keros processes by utilizing the HRIS. Provide employee support & training when ADP or WFN issues arise, or training is required.
- Maintains, coordinates, and participates in employee engagement initiatives.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or needed.

- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems
- Ability to maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
- Ability to work in a changing, agile, and fast-paced environment
Education
- Bachelorβs degree in business, Human Resources or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 5 years Human Resources experience, with emphasis on Generalist activities (including benefits administration, full employee life cycle experience, compliance/legal expertise, both salaried & hourly workforce knowledge)
- Minimum of 2 years HRIS Experience, ADP Workforce Now experience preferred

- Potential base pay range: $98,000β$125,000 USD
