Your Responsibilities:
- Work closely with other functional groups and business leaders during the development and completion of tax planning strategies.
- Coordinate execution of legal and administrative documentation for tax planning strategy steps.
- Proactively research complex tax issues and interpret/apply tax law, regulations, and cases to specific transactions.
- Assist in business development transactions including commercial agreements, disposition activities, and acquisitions/integration scenarios.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to advance tax strategies and ensure compliance with tax laws.
- Assist in identifying and managing key risks from international tax planning, operations, compliance, and reporting.
- Support tax accounting team with tax planning implications for quarters and year-end.
- Manage preparation/review of US income tax disclosure statements and elections related to international acquisitions, restructurings, and tax planning.
- Support US Tax earnings and profits, tax basis and PTEP computations for foreign affiliates.
- Support preparation, review, and filing of international income tax returns; identify transactions with tax ramifications.
- Provide strategic tax advice for tax audits/appeals; respond to IRS inquiries and analyze technical positions in IRS examinations.
- Organize and manage advisory engagements.
- Lead and develop junior tax professionals through coaching, mentoring, and training.
What You Need to Succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
- BS/BA in Accounting or Business-related field.
- 8+ years corporate tax experience, including 5+ years international tax.
- Strong technical skills and experience in ASC 740.
- Solid understanding of US international tax laws.
- CPA.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States; no anticipated visa sponsorship (e.g., H-1B or TN).
