Brief Description:
The Manager, Customer Analytics & Insights delivers data-driven insights to support franchise strategy, performance tracking, and business decisions. Reporting to the Director, this role conducts secondary data analytics, supports primary market research, and translates findings into actionable recommendations.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
Analytics & Insight Generation
- Conduct in-depth analysis of secondary data sources (claims, EHR/EMR, specialty pharmacy, Rx, CRM, media/omnichannel ecosystem).
- Synthesize insights across data sources to inform brand planning, lifecycle strategy, performance optimization, and HCP/patient journeys.
- Use advanced analytics (e.g., segmentation) to identify patterns, drivers, and opportunities.
- Develop and maintain standardized dashboards, reports, and analytical tools for ongoing monitoring.
- Support data quality and consistency (validation and alignment across data sources and outputs).
Market Research & Voice of Customer
- Design and execute qualitative and quantitative primary market research across customer types (HCPs, HCOs, patients, medical/KOLs, payers).
- Integrate primary and secondary insights to provide a comprehensive view of customer needs.
- Communicate findings to cross-functional stakeholders and translate into brand strategy/execution implications.
- Perform and interpret strategic market, competitive, and landscape analyses.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Partner with Commercial, Medical, and Market Access to answer business questions with integrated insights.
- Collaborate with data strategy/technology teams on data sources, methodologies, and outputs.
- Support standardized analytical frameworks.
- Improve research processes, tools, and best practices.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Experience analyzing secondary pharmaceutical data (claims, EHR/EMR, specialty pharmacy, prescriber-level data).
- Strong primary market research skills (qualitative: interviews/focus groups; quantitative: surveys/segmentation).
- Proficiency with analytics/visualization/query tools (Power BI, Tableau, Excel, SQL, Python, R, or SAS).
- Experience with pharma/healthcare datasets (e.g., IQVIA DDD, Xponent, patient claims data).
- Structured problem-solving; collaborative, adaptive self-starter in a fast-paced matrix environment.
Required/Preferred Education
- Bachelorβs degree in a quantitative, scientific, business, or related field (required).
- 4 to 6+ years of progressive experience in analytics, market research, or consulting (required).
- MBA or relevant graduate degree (preferred).
- Healthcare/pharma or other regulated industry experience (preferred).
