Brief Description
- Responsible for delivering data-driven insights supporting franchise strategy, performance tracking, and business decisions. Conduct secondary data analytics, support primary market research, and translate findings into actionable recommendations across customer types in a matrixed environment.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth analysis of secondary data sources (claims, EHR/EMR, specialty pharmacy, Rx, CRM, media/omnichannel ecosystem).
- Synthesize insights across sources to inform brand planning, lifecycle strategy, performance optimization, and HCP/patient journeys.
- Use advanced analytics and segmentation to identify patterns, drivers, and opportunities.
- Build and maintain standardized dashboards, reports, and analytical tools for ongoing brand/portfolio monitoring.
- Support data quality and consistency (validation/alignment across sources and outputs).
- Design and execute qualitative/quantitative primary market research across HCPs/HCOs/patients/medical-KOLs/payers.
- Integrate primary and secondary insights; communicate findings to stakeholders with implications for brand strategy.
- Perform/interpret strategic market, competitive, and landscape analyses.
- Partner with Commercial, Medical, and Market Access; collaborate with data strategy/technology teams to align on data/methods.
- Develop standardized analytical frameworks; improve processes/tools with a continuous growth mindset.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Experience with secondary pharmaceutical/healthcare datasets (claims, EHR/EMR, specialty pharmacy, prescriber-level data).
- Proficiency in primary market research (qualitative: interviews/focus groups; quantitative: surveys/segmentation).
- Skills with analytics/visualization/query tools (Power BI, Tableau, Excel, SQL, Python, R, SAS).
- Pharma/healthcare dataset experience (e.g., IQVIA DDD, Xponent, patient claims).
- Structured problem-solving and ability to translate complex questions into practical analyses.
- Collaborative, self-starter; adaptive in a fast-paced matrixed environment.
Education/Experience
- Bachelorβs degree in quantitative/scientific/business or related field (required).
- 4β6+ years progressive experience in analytics, market research, or consulting (required).
- Advanced degree (MBA or relevant graduate degree) preferred.
- Experience in healthcare/pharma or other highly regulated industries preferred.
