Position Summary:
The Commercial Education Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, and adoption of the training program to ensure peak performance of the commercial group toward company goals and metrics.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop, manage, and deploy core curriculum for new hires.
- Design and facilitate training classes; organize, lead, and present virtual and in-person trainings.
- Assess commercial team performance to identify regional, national, and role-specific training needs and competency gaps; create improvement training plans.
- Travel with the commercial team to identify field challenges and provide just-in-time coaching to field personnel and supervisors.
- Collaborate with Learning & Technology vendors.
- Maintain understanding of core products, systems, and processes to support training in these areas.
- Handle multiple concurrent projects, prioritize for deadlines, and remain calm under stress.
- Create clear, grammatically correct training materials and communications using MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint and other tools.
- Continuously explore tools and industry trends to enhance the Commercial Education department.
- Measure and report training effectiveness against predefined goals.
- Work closely with Commercial Education Team and senior management; share and receive information to achieve results.
- Submit required paperwork (travel itineraries, activity reports, monthly reports, expense reports) and perform other related duties.
Required Qualifications:
- Training/development experience in biotech or healthcare.
- 3+ years healthcare sales experience.
- Experience coaching others.
- Ability to present to small and large audiences.
- Self-starter with minimal supervision.
- Bachelorβs degree.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to travel up to 30%.
Other/Physical Demands:
- Some evenings/weekends may be required.
- Ability to sit/stand for long periods; may lift routine office/training supplies.
