Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Serve as the business analyst on assigned initiatives in the Trial Operations product line within Global Development Operations IT.
- Lead business process mapping and requirements gathering sessions with product managers and business stakeholders.
- Create IT documentation artifacts for agile technology implementations (requirements specifications, process diagrams, user acceptance test plans, traceability matrices, wireframes, training documents, and change management artifacts).
- Use BMS AI tools to automate business processes.
- Prototype technology solutions using Python, Jupyter Notebook, and Figma.
- Write SQL scripts to analyze data related to specimen flow, protocol configurations, and study milestones; generate reports and visualizations.
- Configure, test, and validate applications with the engineering team.
- Coordinate and execute user acceptance testing (UAT); validate requirements and manage traceability matrices.
- Participate in retrospectives, collect user feedback, and propose improvements to business capabilities.
- Develop effective stakeholder relationships to ensure successful delivery of technology initiatives.
- Establish a business analysis framework with other business analysts in GDO-IT.
Qualifications (Minimum Requirements)
- Bachelorβs degree in computer science, computer engineering, life sciences, or a related discipline.
- 4+ years of experience as a technical business analyst, preferably in pharmaceutical, clinical research, or healthcare.
- Knowledge of SDLC and working knowledge of BABOK (CBAP or equivalent is a plus).
- Experience with Python (or similar) for scripting/automation/analytics; proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation, automation, and reporting.
- Strong requirements documentation, process modeling (BPMN, Visio, Lucidchart), and user acceptance criteria.
- Experience with business analysis tools (Figma, JIRA, Confluence, MS Office, or comparable).
- Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
