Maintenance Technician - Vaccines

Main Responsibilities
- Support the design, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all site-wide equipment to maintain a quality Class A environment in GMP and non-GMP facilities at the Swiftwater site.
- Support Formulation operations and both clean utilities and plant utilities in all buildings of the platform (Formulation Utilities PCU).
- Work on intricate, site-specific equipment and systems across GMP and non-GMP areas in a 7/24 GMP production environment; work and documentation directly impact manufacturing operations and quality results.
- Multi-task, troubleshoot, evaluate, and repair site-wide equipment as a member of the maintenance team.
- Up to 25% overtime with short notice and various shifts based on business needs/production cycles.
- Provide reliable, safe, and efficient equipment operation and uptime.
- Execute preventive/corrective maintenance in a timely manner.
- Follow HSE requirements for maintenance (permits, PTW, LOTO).
- Ensure work order (WO) accuracy and completeness.
- Support continuous improvement for maintenance operations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Associate degree with 2+ years of maintenance experience in machine troubleshooting and repair.
OR
- HS Diploma with 3+ years of maintenance experience in machine troubleshooting and repair.
- Training/certification/experience in maintenance.
- In-depth equipment knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
- Working knowledge of purchasing systems and CMMS.
- Precision maintenance concepts.
Required Skills / Knowledge (preventive maintenance & repairs on industrial/process equipment)
- Air handling unit operations; belt tensioning and alignment; bearing replacement.
- Knowledge of VFDs and VAVs; steam principles.
- Process control devices; JCI Metasys systems.
- Pump repairs/rebuilds/replacement; motor replacement and alignment.
- Read schematics/blueprints.
- Electrical knowledge (single phase and 3 phase 480V).
- Refrigerators, freezers, incubators; process chillers and temperature control units.
- Water For Injection (WFI) clean steam; RO/DI; purified water.
- Valve replacement and piping system repairs.
- Basic computer skills in MS Office and SAP.
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions
- Lift > 20 lbs.; temperature extremes; uncomfortable protective clothing; excessive noise; unpleasant fumes; dust/dirt; adverse weather.
- High voltage > 50 volts; caustics and acids; exposure to steam/hot water/compressed air/waste water.

- A: Provide feedback to reliability engineering and P&S team.
- A: Maintainability improvements (accessibility, safety, continuous improvement).
- I: Develop/own maintenance plans, procedures, and work instructions.
- A: Support shop organization and safety (including tools and equipment).
