MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN I
What You Will Do
- Provide technical expertise and guidance supporting plant start-up and daily operations.
- Applicable shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00amβ3:30pm.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Capital Project Delivery and Site Operations team to provide technical support for start-up, commissioning, and qualification of equipment and systems used in Manufacturing, Laboratories, Utilities, and other site areas.
- Support development, writing, and implementation of Maintenance program documentation, including SOPs, Work Orders (WO), Job Plans (JP), Hazard Risk Assessments (HRA), Job Hazard Assessments (JHA), etc.
- Ensure safety of all staff during plant construction, start-up operations, and maintenance activities.
- Perform intermediate installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, testing, and documentation/logs of process and utility equipment.
- Complete quality and safety documentation and perform work safely, compliantly, and timely per planning/schedules with minimal production impact, aligned with GMP standards, SOP adherence, and company policies/regulations.
- Work efficiently to maximize successful outcomes focused on maintenance excellence.
- Communicate work status to system operators and key stakeholders; ensure work order documentation is accurate.
- Review/technically approve maintenance reports, forms, plans, and records.
- Identify waste and work-flow interrupters; recommend and assist with implementation.
- Participate in development to improve overall team performance.
- Represent the Maintenance team in discussions/meetings and provide facility/manufacturing support as needed; may require on-call rotation outside normal hours (nights, weekends, holidays).
Basic Qualifications
- High school/GED + 1 year of maintenance work or military experience OR an Associateβs degree.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge/experience in highly regulated cGMP environments.
- Experience executing and documenting maintenance work orders in a computerized maintenance management system.
- Ability to interpret P&IDs.
- Effective, timely communication of issues and task status; constructive peer interaction.
- Teamwork with science-based collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Understanding and use of World Class Maintenance initiatives.
- Safety, quality, and compliance leadership.
- Ability to produce positive outcomes with others having different backgrounds/perspectives without unnecessary oversight.
