Corporate Functions
The Position
- Provides paralegal support to legal staff, primarily supporting litigation, market access & public affairs, commercial, clinical, and/or corporate legal teams.
- Partners with in-house counsel, outside counsel, and business stakeholders to support efficient, high-quality matter execution from pre-litigation through trial and post-judgement activities.

Essential Functions
- Support attorneys with departmental tasks and legal matters.
- Coordinate and maintain matter files; manage case calendars, deadlines, and filings; track outside counsel deliverables and status; monitor budget milestones.
- Support fact development (witness/contact lists, chronologies, key issue trackers, document indexes).
- Coordinate document collection/organization/production with outside counsel; ensure discovery protocol adherence and on-time discovery; analyze documents for potential discovery.
- Draft and help implement legal holds; collaborate with Legal Operations, eDiscovery, and Information Governance on litigation/investigation projects.
- Attend line-of-business meetings as requested.
- Support drafting/review of agreements (e.g., sponsorship, consulting, service, collaboration, association memberships, grant agreements); assist with contract negotiation as needed.
- Lead key projects; draft template agreements as directed.
- Identify relevant laws, judicial decisions, and legal arguments.
- Follow up on outstanding issues and keep attorneys informed of status.
- Coordinate witness/party depositions; manage exhibits; support preparation of fact and expert witnesses.
- Handle highly confidential matters with discretion and judgment.
- Assist with trial preparation (witness/exhibit preparation and coordination, courtroom support).
- Research statutes, regulations, and case law; prepare informative materials for attorneys.
- Support Litigation Strategy Group and other key meeting preparation (coordinate/draft/edit/upload slides).

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required (relevant experience may substitute).
- Minimum 8 years of paralegal experience or other relevant experience.
- At least 3 years of pharmaceutical industry experience (strongly preferred).
- Paralegal Certification required (or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire).
