Job Summary
Provide expert advice and counseling to the business on strategic and tactical projects in a highly regulated environment. Report to the Assistant General Counsel and provide legal support to business partners, including Market Access (Payer Strategy, Trade & Distribution, Government Pricing), Government Affairs & Public Policy, and pipeline.

Key Responsibilities
- Advise business partners on commercial initiatives to advance company strategy while addressing legal risks and protecting integrity and reputation.
- Provide legal advice on Medicaid, Medicare, 340B, and Veterans Health Care Act obligations.
- Advise on market access and reimbursement.
- Advise on government pricing (price reporting compliance policies, reasonable assumptions documents).
- Address Centers for Medicare and Medicaid final rules and correspondence (letters and public comments).
- Advise on proposed/enacted federal and state legislation impacting market access, pricing, reimbursement, and state drug pricing reporting/transparency laws.
- Advise on services and contracting for specialty distributors and specialty pharmacies.
- Support data and special projects; brand strategic planning and business operation plans.
- Stay abreast of evolving healthcare legislation/regulations and enforcement landscape.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and company policies, including the Anti-kickback Statute and other U.S. healthcare compliance laws.
- Collaborate with legal teams supporting commercial, pipeline, and privacy.
- Review select materials in the Communication Review Committee.

Qualifications (Required/Preferred)
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Member of a state bar.
- 8+ years post-JD advising on life sciences legal matters (law firm and/or in-house biopharmaceutical industry).
- Government price reporting experience.
- Experience advising on statutes/regulations/guidance for market access (Medicaid, 340B, Veterans Administration, federal/state anti-kickback; state pricing transparency; OIG guidance/opinions; False Claims Act; PhRMA Code).
- Strong verbal/written communication; able to advise lawyers and non-lawyers; understands business needs.
- Advanced contracting and redlining; strong attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage outside counsel and adhere to a budget.
- Experience advising on specialty medicines highly desired.

Pay Range
$214,400 - $321,600
