Job Summary
Provide expert legal advice and counseling to business partners on strategic and tactical projects in a highly regulated environment, reporting to the Assistant General Counsel.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise business partners on commercial initiatives while addressing legal risks and protecting company integrity/reputation.
- Provide legal advice on: Medicaid/Medicare/340B/Veterans Health Care Act statutory and regulatory obligations; market access and reimbursement; government pricing and price reporting compliance; CMS final rules and correspondence; proposed/enacted federal and state legislation affecting market access/pricing/reimbursement and state drug transparency laws; services/contracting for specialty distributors and pharmacies; data/special projects; brand strategic planning and business operation plans.
- Stay current on healthcare laws/regulations and enforcement.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and company policies, including Anti-kickback Statute and other U.S. healthcare compliance laws.
- Collaborate with legal colleagues (commercial, pipeline, privacy) and review select Communication Review Committee materials.
- Participate in Legal & Compliance projects/committees; share knowledge via presentations and discussions.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience
- JD (ABA accredited) and member of a state bar.
- 8+ years post-JD advising on life sciences legal matters (law firm and/or in-house).
- Government price reporting experience.
- Experience with Medicaid/340B/Veterans Administration; federal/state anti-kickback statutes; state drug pricing transparency; OIG guidance/advisory opinions; False Claims Act; PhRMA Code.
- Strong communication; advanced contracting/redlining; analytical/problem-solving/organizational; manage outside counsel and budgets.
- Specialty medicines legal experience highly desired.

Compensation
$214,400β$321,600; annual bonus and annual equity awards; some roles may be eligible for overtime.
