Lead Specialist, Commercial Operations is responsible for planning and executing successful product launches by partnering with Brand and Digital Marketing, Sales, Operations, Legal, Medical, Regulatory, Compliance, and Customer Support to execute go-to-market strategies. Manages US Marketing Operations launch timelines and stakeholder alignment. Leads operational analytics, and print and fulfillment operations for US Marketing Operations, ensuring deliverables are completed on schedule and within budget.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end product launch execution in compliance with regulatory standards, including planning timelines, aligning asset requirements, ensuring compliance/version control, proactively managing risks, and coordinating execution from production through field distribution.
- Execute launch roadmaps developed by Brand and Digital Marketing partners, using competitive intelligence and market research to support differentiated positioning and messaging.
- Manage pre-launch readiness activities: field force training, asset prioritization, KOL engagements (speaker programs), conventions, and print/fulfillment logistics.
- Analyze post-launch KPIs and launch readiness; evaluate marketing and sales engagement programs.
- Support commercial with agency optimization and timelines; develop promoted materials; ensure compliance with MLR review processes and alignment with regulatory timelines.
- Develop and manage operational metrics/KPIs, lead generation, asset optimization, and reporting; build scalable dashboards and reporting tools.
- Manage day-to-day print production and fulfillment operations, coordinating with vendors; oversee operational/financial coordination, workflow management, issue resolution, and budget tracking.
- Drive continuous improvement via reporting cadences, trend analysis, risk identification, and data-informed decision-making.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree (or equivalent) and 4β6+ years of experience (combination of education/experience considered).
- 1β3 years of pharmaceutical experience and/or project management (including meeting facilitation) strongly preferred.
- People management experience preferred.
- Strong communication and process management; proven ability to collaborate and gain cross-functional alignment.
- Strong background in product launch planning, competitive intelligence, KPI tracking, and agency management.
- Experience with content management systems (Veeva Vault PromoMats preferred).
- Experience collaborating with vendors; holding them accountable to timelines and budget; managing external partner relationships.
- Customer-focused; understanding of compliant HCP engagement and required reporting.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills; ability to influence without direct authority.
- Knowledge/application of principles and standards applicable to Promotional Review.
- Strong project management and organizational skills (event/convention management planning preferred).
- Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing, comprehension) required.
