The Kidney Territory Account Manager (KTAM) is responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with Health Care Professionals (HCPs), developing a strategic business plan, and communicating disease and product knowledge to HCPs and centers of care. Reports into a Regional Field Leader (RFL) and leads engagement with nephrologists and serves as an account manager for specialty kidney clinics.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Establish meaningful relationships with nephrologists and related HCPs; serve as territory account manager for specialty kidney clinics
- Develop and maintain expertise on disease, product clinical attributes, and patient unmet needs; educate HCPs on appropriate product use
- Understand assigned physicians, territory/market dynamics, stakeholder mapping, key decision-maker relationships, patient protocols, referral networks, access, and drivers/barriers
- Manage individual territory performance; contribute to area and national team performance
- Collaborate across functional areas; attend meetings and take on projects as requested
- Exercise sound judgment and adhere to regulatory/compliance guidelines and company policies

- Ability to understand/communicate complex clinical disease/product

- Expertise in disease/HCP/Patient resources, sales competencies, disease centers of care, payer landscape

- Documented sales success; IT capabilities including Veeva CRM; experience in a matrixed environment
Education and Experience:
- Bachelorโs degree
- Typically 5 years of field sales experience in pharmaceuticals; experience in kidney/renal disease, rare disease, or similar biotech/specialty markets
- Product launch experience highly desired
- Successful completion of trainings, background screens, drug testing and vaccinations (as required)
Requirements:
- Must live and work within the territory (may require proximity to a major airport)
- Valid driverโs license in good standing
- Travel up to 80% (car/airplane) and work after hours as needed; 10โ30% overnight travel
Pay/Benefits (as stated):
- $133,600 - $200,400 base pay range; eligible for annual bonus and annual equity awards
